Abscisic acid ameliorates motor disabilities in 6-ohda-induced mice model of Parkinson's disease

چکیده

Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by a myriad of symptoms, encompassing both motor disabilities and cognitive impairments. Recent research has shown that abscisic acid (ABA) phytohormone found in various brain regions several mammals exhibits neuroprotective properties. To investigate the effects ABA on disorders, mouse model PD was utilized. The administration 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) to lateral ventricles conducted, with (10 15 μg/mouse, i. c.v.) being administered for one week after 6-OHDA injection 4 days. Motor performance were evaluated through use open field, rotarod, wire grip, shuttle box tests. results indicated function disorders significantly impaired 6-OHDA-treated animals. However, mice treated 6-OHDA, (15 μg/mouse) reversed balance muscle strength deficits. It should be noted did not improve impairment or rearing Parkinsonism mice. Therefore, findings suggest plays crucial role protecting from caused 6-OHDA.

Ellagic acid improves hyperalgesia and cognitive deficiency in 6-hydroxidopamine induced rat model of Parkinson’s disease

Objective(s):Parkinson's disease (PD) is known for motor impairments. But often, there are non-motor symptoms such as cognitive deficiency and pain misperception, owing to possible role of nigrostriatal pathway. Antioxidants have protective effect on free radical-induced neuronal damage in PD. To further address, we examined the effects of ellagic acid (EA) in a rat model of PD induced by 6-hyd...

Behavioral characterization of a unilateral 6-OHDA-lesion model of Parkinson's disease in mice.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative disorders. Several toxin-induced animals models simulate the motor deficits occurring in PD. Among them, the unilateral 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) model is frequently used in rats and has the advantage of presenting side-biased motor impairments. However, the behavioral consequences of a unilateral 6-OHDA-lesion have, so far, ...

A partial lesion model of Parkinson's disease in mice – Characterization of a 6-OHDA-induced medial forebrain bundle lesion

The most frequently used animal models for Parkinson's disease (PD) utilize unilateral injection of 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) in the medial forebrain bundle (MFB), which results in total denervation of the dopaminergic nigrostriatal pathway. However, neuroprotective interventions in PD require models resembling earlier stages of PD, where some dopaminergic cells and fibres remain. The aim of t...

Protective effect of chlorogenic acid in an experimental model of Parkinson’s disease induced by 6-hydroxydopamine in rats

Introdution: Parkinson's disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disease. Considering the antioxidant and neuroprotective properties of chlorogenic acid, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the neuroprotective effect of this substance in an experimental model of Parkinson's disease. Methods: In this experimental study, Wisar male rats (n = 32) were divided into 4 groups: sham...

Transcriptome profiling of 6-OHDA model of Parkinson’s disease

Analysis of monogenic forms and candidate genes of Parkinson’s disease (PD) does not allow to describe completely the contribution of genetic factors to the etiopathogenesis of the disorder. An approach associated with an analysis of changes in a transcriptome pattern during the development of the disease in model objects can be used to identify new candidate genes that are involved in the path...
